Louisville Wanton Endangerment Sentences and Case Outcomes
Young’s three 10-year endangerment terms run concurrently with one another, not as 30 years added to arson. Other listed totals cover multiple offenses; Banks and Lee remain historical context with target/outcome qualification open.
Kentucky State/Local Scope
These are state records, not federal judgments. The statutory reference does not automatically establish governing law at a historical offense date. Offense degree must come from the disposition, not injuries or an initial accusation.
Selected Records
| Record | Reported location | Outcome and scope | Source |
|---|---|---|---|
| Russell Mullins | September 18, 2014 Main Street, KFC Yum! Center | 20 years assault/endangerment/DUI total; no target allocation | Record source |
| Thomas Catalina | August 2022 I-65 near Kentucky Exposition Center | 25-year multiple-offense total; three endangerment allocations absent | Record source |
| Erick Ocampo Gonzalez | April 2023 Shepherdsville/Newburg road intersection | 18-year multiple-offense total; $10,000 fine separate; target allocation absent | Record source |
| Andre Banks | Fern Creek school shooting, September 2014 | Historical 18-year combined suspended/probationary outcome; five years probation and 100 days home incarceration; later operative result unverified | Record source |
| Joseph Gordon Young | May 16, 2023 Taylor Boulevard house | 10 years each of three counts, concurrent with each other; their 10-year block consecutive to 22-year arson: 32 total | Record source |
| Linda Lee | Metro-area fire locations not independently qualified | 20-year arson-case total in secondary report; wanton-endangerment conviction/count allocation not reverified | Record source |
Traffic Cases: Count Allocations Not Supplied
The reports distinguish Mullins’s assault/endangerment/DUI plea, Catalina’s three endangerment counts in a larger disposition and Ocampo Gonzalez’s multi-offense total. Injured victims do not establish additional assault convictions. Original murder accusations and news shorthand for homicide do not replace the actual conviction label or offense-date statute. Catalina’s November 20 sentencing is distinct from the November 24 report; Ocampo Gonzalez’s parole threshold is not a release date.
Banks: Historical Probation, Later Outcome Open
The May 2016 WAVE sentencing report describes home incarceration. Its October 2016 follow-up recalls the probationary structure but reports proposed revocation proceedings and a continuance, not a completed revocation judgment. No later prison term, current probation status or guaranteed release is inferred. The older WDRB link now redirected to a homepage during this check. The target degree/count and operative later outcome require the judgment.
Young and Lee: Related Arson Records
Young’s 2026 appellate opinion affirms the judicial concurrency structure; its review day is not the original sentence date. Lee’s secondary hearing report does not reverify the previously listed endangerment counts. Those counts are withheld pending readable conviction evidence, rather than counted as eighteen additional prosecutions.
Comparison Limits
Relevant court-copy, prosecutor and news passages were read September 28, 2026 UTC (September 29 in Istanbul); secondary news is not a primary judgment. Count terms, probation conditions and fines are not interchangeable with aggregate prison terms. Full later-docket, historical-law and independent precise municipal-point checks remain open. Louisville Metro or county jurisdiction alone does not certify an incorporated-city offense point. Shared records, victims and counts are not additional independent clusters, and no numerical citywide range is calculated.
These selected reported records are not all Louisville cases, an average, a typical sentence or a prediction. Imposed terms and unsuspended portions do not establish time actually served or a release date. Read the case-selection methodology, editorial standards and Louisville sentencing hub.
