Memphis Federal Carjacking Sentences and Case Outcomes

Johnson’s 20-year carjacking/firearm total and Turner’s 246-month multi-offense total have different scopes. Turner’s judgment includes two completed carjackings, an attempted carjacking and related firearm offenses; it is not 246 months for one completed carjacking count.

These selected records represent two reported prosecution clusters, not two fully qualified comparable incorporated-city outcomes. Co-defendants, counts and incidents do not automatically add independent cases. Exact municipal-point, historical-law and complete later-outcome qualification remain open.

Federal Offense and Jurisdiction

This page keeps federal judgments separate from Tennessee state/local cases. The federal statutory reference is not automatically the historical version applicable to an older offense. No present-day numerical minimum or maximum is asserted.

Johnson and White: Co-defendants Are Not Independent Cases

The November 25, 2025 release dates Johnson’s sentence that day after an August 25 plea to aiding and abetting a carjacking and firearm use. It reports co-defendant Tyrone White’s prior October 30 sentence only as over nine years, not an exact term; White is not another independent prosecution. The April 9, 2024 taking is identified as Memphis, but no address is given. Johnson’s later flight, prior convictions and seized guns are not substituted for a count allocation or exact offense point. A supervision term is not supplied.

Turner: Attempted Taking and Firearm Counts Remain Distinct

The November 26, 2025 release dates sentencing November 17: 246 months plus three years supervised release. It describes completed takings August 25 and August 31, 2023, then a September 3 attempt in which the owner resisted and no taking is reported. The judgment covers completed carjackings, an attempt and related firearm offenses, not only multiple completed carjackings. A guilty plea is reported earlier in 2025 without an exact day. Neither the three incidents nor the approximate twenty-year headline supplies a one-count term or separate independent prosecutions.

Reading Limits

Prison, federal supervised release and another defendant’s punishment are distinct. No average, typical result, prediction or release date is calculated. Relevant primary DOJ narratives were read September 28, 2026 UTC (September 29 in Istanbul). Focused official court/name searches did not establish a matched later change but are not exhaustive docket clearance. A street account or Memphis label still needs independent municipal-boundary qualification.

These selected reported records are not all Memphis cases, an average, a typical sentence or a prediction. Imposed terms and unsuspended portions do not establish time actually served or a release date. Read the case-selection methodology, editorial standards and Memphis sentencing hub.
